Before Peetal Bagh, there was Fort Abbas
I grew up in Fort Abbas, a small town in South Punjab, where there were fewer choices and fewer luxuries, but a strong sense of belonging. Eid meant all the cousins together, rain meant everyone rushing outside, and nights meant family, familiar streets, and simple things that somehow felt enough.
That is where I first learned to value things. Not because there were fewer of them, but because there was care behind them. Something bought by your parents carried their effort and love with it.
“We had less, but what we had felt like enough”

From less, to more
Suddenly there was so much more. More fashion, more brands, more places to discover, more choice. I loved that world, but I also began to notice how quickly things moved. Trends came and went, and there was always something newer to want.
Somewhere in all that choice, I began to miss the feeling that things could simply be loved, used, and kept.
Where the old still lives
Among its busy streets and changing cityscape, there are places where the old and new exist without competing. Old doors still open onto homes, carved facades sit beside modern storefronts, and Urdu signs, worn walls, and brass details live alongside everything new.
Perhaps heritage does not need to be left in the past to be preserved. Perhaps it simply needs to be carried forward.
“What I love about Lahore is not simply that it is old. It is that the old is still being lived in”
And then there was peetal
Long before Peetal Bagh, I was drawn to peetal. Trays, cups, bowls, little objects sitting quietly in homes. I have always loved the material itself, its warmth, its weight, its colour, and the way it changes with time.
So when I found it in bags, it felt instinctively right. Rooted in where we come from, but completely at home in the way we live now.
Wear it. Live with it. Keep it
We do not believe beautiful things should be saved for one occasion. We believe in choosing something because you genuinely love it, wearing it more than once, and letting it become familiar. A wedding, a dinner, Eid, a holiday, or simply an ordinary day that deserves something beautiful.
We want a Peetal Bagh piece to become part of your life, not just your wardrobe. To be worn, to gather a few stories and even a few scratches, to become familiar. And years from now, for someone you love to carry it, and to know it was once yours.
Made to be loved, and one day, passed on
